Ssonde Rotary Club
On 1st November, GIBEH was invited by the Rotary Club of Sonde to facilitate a session on Gender Based Violence against children and also on Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management. The session was interactive as many learners got to know about menstruation and ways on how take care of themselves, sexual and reproductive health and how to identify and fight gender based violence. In total we attended to 295 students with 142 of them being male and 153 female. Out of these, 140 of them were provided with reusable Sanitary towels to boast their menstrual Health. We were also able to identify a girl to join the school program given the fact that she is an orphan and had failed to raise school fees for her education and yet she is a semi candidate.
